Planning your wedding dress journey can be exciting and finding the right time to start is just as important. Earlier this year, Meliza Mary Bridal Studio in Durban introduced Saturday Open Days as a limited-time offering for brides who couldn’t make midweek visits.
Our Saturday Open Days have now come to an end, but they were a wonderful opportunity for brides to explore our studio, meet our team, and experience our curated wedding dress collections in a relaxed, walk-in setting.
What Were Saturday Open Days?
Saturday Open Days were designed as a casual introduction to the Meliza Mary experience. Brides were able to walk in on Saturday mornings, browse our gowns, and try on up to three wedding dresses for free.
The focus was on:
- A relaxed, pressure-free environment
- Expert guidance from Meliza Mary
- A shared studio experience with other brides
- Helping brides “test the waters” before committing to a private appointment
It was a beautiful way for many brides to begin their wedding dress journey.
Why We Introduced Them
Our Wednesday Open Days have always been popular, but we recognised that not all brides are available during the week. Saturday Open Days were created to give more brides access to our studio — especially those juggling work, family, and wedding planning.
The response was incredibly positive, and we loved welcoming so many brides through our doors.
